What was your 1st impression of GGG & how has that feeling since changed?
"I was a little surprised when I first heard about it. It seemed really good…too good to be true. So, I investigated it online and heard some good reviews from people. I completed a survey, heard back from one of the GGG employees, had a great discussion on the phone, and got involved. It's been really great, and I've really enjoyed the opportunities."

What are 3 benefits you've experienced as a result of joining GGG?
"One benefit is traveling to cool places and trying out new games. That's always exciting, things that haven't come out yet. Another benefit is you get to meet really cool people, people with the same opinions as you, differing opinions. And the other one is getting paid to kind of play games and give your opinions and thoughts and contribute to the industry."

Would you recommend others to join GGG?
"I would recommend to anyone who really plays video games and enjoys talking about them. You're getting paid to basically play games that aren't released yet. Some of them haven't even been announced yet, and you're getting to share your opinion on it when you know nobody else might want to hear your opinions on video games. You get paid for it, and the pay is always a good amount."

How would you describe the incentive process after completing a study?
"Straightforward and quick. Within like hours, no less than a day. You receive what it is that they promised for a study. I don't think I've had any problems with it. If I did, support helped me with it."

What has surprised you the most since joining GGG?
"What has surprised me the most since joining Good Gamer group is how reliable they've been in terms of what they have promised and what they actually deliver. It's as simple as getting the e-mail, being offered a special time frame to get into a game, trying it out and giving honest feedback. For enjoying myself, having a good time and getting compensation, it's been a delightful experience. It's never been any sort of hiccup or any kind of excuses not to get paid or anything like that. It has been very straightforward and very fun as well."

What are 3 benefits you've experienced as a result of joining GGG?
"I get rewarded for my video game experience. That's a benefit because I love to play video games and I get rewarded for it. My other experience is getting to talk to other gamers like myself, that's another benefit for me. And lastly, the rewards are really fast, so when you do a survey you get rewarded pretty quickly for them, so there's no hassle in the reward selection or process in general."

What are things all new GGG members should know when they join?
"One thing I would tell any new members is that you're definitely going to feel comfortable, even if you feel like you'd be shy at first. That's like one of the few places that you really are in your element, especially if you're a gamer."

What made GGG stand out from other communities that offer these incentivized research opportunities?
"I've been doing this for a few years now, and I love every survey, had a ton of fun, but what makes it stand out the most is that you have proctors and hosts that actually know the material they're asking you about. They know a lot about games. They're obviously big nerds, which makes it a lot of fun and accessible. And you never feel like you're a stranger when talking about these games. They're also very good at finding other people with similar interests. So when you're in a focus group, there is a lot of great back and forth, and many ideas getting tossed around, not just one person doing all the heavy lifting. "

What has surprised you the most since joining GGG?
"I think it's the amount of opportunities I've received through e-mail. I'm very surprised that I can receive as many emails and text messages and any opportunity to play, test, or be part of a focus group. I guess another thing that surprises me a lot is how much they're willing to pay for opinions on video game topics, conversations, and just playing video games in general."

Would you recommend others to join GGG?
"I recommend others because it's if you like playing video games and you like learning about new things coming out and trying games, testing them out before anybody else, you just have to keep your mouth shut obviously. It's a great way to see what's coming, what's new, what's innovative, and what's to come, you know. I've already recommended others, and a few of my friends actually have joined GGG and they love it. So I've always gotten positive feedback when I recommend and give positive feedback to others to join."

How would you describe the incentive process after completing a study?
"The incentive process is really simple and really straightforward as soon as you're done with your playtest or focus group or whatnot. Honestly, a lot of times, by the time you get home or the next day, you'll have an e-mail with a link to put in your information, and then it gives you your prepaid Visa card."

What are things all new GGG members should know when they join?
"Everything is focused on video games, so it could be action, adventure, shooting, or horror games. To join, you would have to share some personal information, like your name. And they have some really cool and interesting projects going on."
Joseph B, member since 2022
What has surprised you the most since joining GGG?
"I think the thing that has surprised me the most since joining Good Gamer Group was all the opportunities that there have been. I'm consistently getting emails. If it's not for surveys, then it's for Playtests or game tests, or even for just little questionnaires that they have; it's very cool. I'm very impressed with all that and the fact that they're always on top of everything."
