Qualitative research usually answers questions that cannot be solved mathematically, or that involve factors that can’t be measured directly, like feelings, emotions, or perceptions. Qualitative studies include focus groups, playtests, 1-on-1 interviews, and other types of ethnographic research work.
At Interpret, we understand that numbers are not enough to tell the whole story – sometimes we need to hear directly from players about what they think, and see how they react to the game itself. Qualitative studies add a crucial, human element to our data - that's why we rely on the Good Gamer Group for our work.
